New Board Member Added for Growing Museum

ACE PRESIDENT ROBERT ULRICH JOINS MUSEUM AS EXPANSION NEARING COMPLETION

Plainview, TX – (February 17, 2021) As the National Roller Coaster Museum reaches a huge milestone as it nears the completion of the Mark Moore Wing of the museum, the non-profit is realigning its board to be ready for the future. American Coaster Enthusiasts President Robert Ulrich joins the board as the ACE representative and advocate.

"Robert is a great addition to the board," Jeff Novotny, NRCMA President said. "He represents one of our largest advocacy groups in the American Coaster Enthusiasts. He has a heart for our mission to preserve and protect the history of the Amusement industry. He will be a huge asset."

With nearly 10,000 square feet, the Mark Moore wing will display a portion of the museum’s vast collection of artifacts, designs, photographs and ride vehicles for public viewing and for research purposes. Its nearly three-story vaulted ceiling will allow the largest of the artifacts to be displayed, as well as, providing a second-floor mezzanine for additional exhibits. The new building will be attached to the existing 10,000-square-foot archive space with a new entrance building featuring a board room and theater. 

The NRCMA continues to expand its collection of artifacts and archiving facilities in Plainview, Texas, but the museum needs support from the industry and from fans of amusement parks everywhere for these efforts to continue. The NRCMA is an unaffiliated, 501 C3 non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of historic roller coasters and amusement park artifacts and memorabilia to document and archive the history of the amusement park industry in a dynamic environment while providing the most complete repository of information and documents regarding the amusements industry.
